Treasures of the Mediterranean & 7 Nt Majorca Stay

Duration: 14 nights
Ship: Marella Voyager
Line: Marella Cruises
Three companies that offer luxury cruises will be operating from the current Portsmouth Ferry Port from summer 2011. The three, Swan Hellenic, Hebridean Island Cruises and Voyages of Discovery Cruises are relocating from Southampton to Portsmouth. One cruise executive said that the choice of Portsmouth was good because Swan Hellenic offered small specialist ships and that was a better fit with the smaller, more intimate port of Portsmouth which all so had the appeal of being an historic city.
For passengers wishing to save money, Portsmouth’s good rail and air links, large ferry parking terminals and good hotels will all help make a cruise or of an occasion. The cruise companies hope many visitors will stay overnight to visit local attractions. The terminal should be finished by late February and is part of a £16.5 million investment by Portsmouth City Council which will feature restaurants, coffee shops and newsagents.
