If you have never cruised before then picking the right cruise for you and your family may seem quite daunting but, it need not be with our easy guide.
Today cruising is really all about meeting the needs of many a different type of passenger. From a family to a couple and even the solo cruiser. The cruise lines put a lot of energy into making sure they get the word out to the right audience.
So, let’s look at a family aimed cruise. You are cruising for the first time and with children, which cruise line is going to be best for you?. Well, your choice is quite extensive.
First of all there is Disney Cruise Line. I suppose the name really says it all, Disney is THE family cruise line and probably the only one in the world where the children really do come first. Although the balance is nice for adults you know yourself the magic that Disney pours over the young ones. I guarantee you will experience a family holiday like no other with Disney Cruise Line.
There are other out there though so let’s not forget about them. Next we have Carnival Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean International and Norwegian Cruise Line. Now, we mention all three in the same section as they all cater for families in a relatively similar way. Although each cruise line has its own unique features per ship they all aim towards that family unit and most importantly the FUN kind of holiday. Carnival Cruise Line really does have the FUN ships. Onboard you can find all sorts of wonderful and facilities including massive onboard water parks! No shortage of places any kid would love to eat and of course kids clubs.
Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Line have more than enough facilities too. Royal Caribbean is home to the famous FlowRider and Norwegian Cruise Line boasts the first Ice Bar at sea onboard Norwegian Epic. OK, so maybe the Ice Bar is not for the kids but the adults have to have some fun time too!
Just about every cruise line caters for children in their own way. Although you won’t find water parks on deck with Cunard, P&O Cruises or Princess Cruises, they all do have onboard kids facilities that would be a firm challenger to any land resort kids club.
That is the beauty about cruising, everything you could imagine is covered onboard. You can do as much as a family unit as you wish but you can also take advantage of having that free time and let the children make new friends in the kids clubs. They are perfectly safe and the staff more than qualified to take care of even the youngest of children.
From 6 months to 17 years there is something onboard for each and every child.
When picking out your first family cruise the easiest thing would be to decide first of all where and when you wish to travel, and then concentrate on a cruise line and ship. You will soon see there is a holiday of a lifetime waiting for you at sea.
Happy Cruising!
