Rhapsody of the Seas launched in 1997 and is in some ways showing her age however don't let that fool you into thinking she is boring as she is far from it
You can find a selection of on board perks including a retractable canopy and a highly dramatic wall of glass. She offers a very nice Spa which is spacious and very relaxing and has a selection of eight lounges.

- The main, bi- level Edelweiss Restaurant spans both decks four and five. In the evening, deck five offers the MyTime flexible dining option, where passengers arrive to dine at any time between 1730-2100. Deck four hosts the traditional, two sittings for dinner, with first sitting at 1730, and second at 2000 each evening
- Giovanni's Table is an Italian inspired, family friendly venue offering the best of Italian home cooking. Open for lunch from 1200 to 1315 on sea days only, it has a cover charge of $15 per person. The dinner service is from 1800-2100 nightly, and comes with a cover charge of $20 per person
- Izumi is an Asian inspired venue, open for lunch from 1200-1315 on sea days only, with a cover charge of $3 per person, and for dinner from 1800-2100 each night, with a cover charge of $5 per person. Individual items such as meat cooked on hot rocks, sushi. sashimi and steamed dumplings, are all charged on an a la carte basis
- Chops Grille steak house offers an exclusive, elevated dining experience that revolves around quality cuts of steaks, pork, lamb, and succulent seafood, served with all the trimmings in a calm, unhurried environemt. Open for dinner nightly between 1800 and 2100, reservations are recommended. The per person cover charge to dine here is $30
- Chef's Table is served up in an exclusive, cordoned off section of the Edelweiss Restaurant. it offers just sixteen guests an elegant, five course dinner, paired with recommended wines. Each choice is described by both the chef and the sommelier just before they are served. The cover charge per person is $95, fully inclusive
- Windjammer Cafe is the large, self service main venue for breakfast, lunch and dinner in an upper deck location. Complimentary
- Park Cafe is a deli style venue, serving healthy breakfasts (0600 to 0945), soups, wraps and Ciabatta (1100-1800) and late night snacks (2130-0030) on a complimentary basis
- Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Bar offers around a dozen diverse flavours, served at prices ranging from $2.50 to $4.00. Floats and shakes at an extra price. Open from 1100-2300 daily
- Viking Crown Lounge offers a la carte dinner items in a spectacular venue, eleven floors above the ocean. Choices include Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, Kobe Beef Sliders, and Chocolate Mud Pie. All items priced on an a la carte basis. Menu on offer from 1700-2400 nightly
- Cafe Latte-tudes has complimentary pasties and cakes on offer from 0630-2300, with speciality coffees at an extra price

- Family amenities: Adventure Ocean operates with four age-banded groups from three to 17 and there’s a children’s dining menu that often seems to rival (or better) the adult one
- Top accommodation: The Royal Suite has the essential baby grand piano, plus king-sized bed, queen-sized sofa bed in the living room and a good sized bathroom
- Entertainment and facilities: A good theatre is the key to Rhapsody’s entertainment programme and it’s supported by good lounge-based musical acts
- Tipping: A rather complex system operations on RCI ships: tips can be pre-paid in advance (this is mandatory if you choose ‘My Time’ dining) or added to your onboard account or paid in cash when the cruise ends. There’s a 15% surcharge on bar bills.
