Grandeur of the Seas is one of the smaller ships within the Royal Caribbean fleet and her single funnel is unusual on a ship of her size. She also offers 14 wheelchair accessible cabins and is highly noted for being a good ship for large families travelling together.

- Dining: No premium dining spot here, but a good room service (look for the menu on the cabin intranet TV which features dishes from the restaurant daily) more than makes up for it
- The bi-level Great Gatsby dining room covers both decks four and five. While both levels offer traditional, two sitting dining- first sitting at 1730, second sitting at 2000- the upper, deck five level also offers the more flexible option of MyTime dining, at any time between 1700 and 2100 each evening
- Giovanni's Table is a Tuscan inspired venue that offers rustic Italian fare in a family friendly atmosphere. Lunch is $15 per person, dinner $20
- Izumi is a Japanese slanted dining experience that offers beef and chicken cooked table side on hot rocks, as well as prime sushi and sashimi choices. Cover charge is $3 for lunch (served 1200-1330) and $5 for dinner (served 1730-2100), with all individual items priced on an a la carte basis
- Chops Grille is an intimate venue serving up prime cuts of steak, lamb and beef, plus succulent seafood and appopraite side dishes and desserts. With sublime service and an open view kitchen where you can actually watch the chefs preparing the food. Open 1730-2100 each night. Cover charge of $30 per person
- Chef's Table is an upmarket, five course food extravaganza, paired with appropriate wines, and offered to a maximum of just twelve people at a time. The on hand chef and sommelier will explain the cooking and pairing process prior to each course being served. $95 per person, fully inclusive
- Windjammer Marketplace is a large, casual self service venue that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus late night snacks. Complimentary
- Park Cafe is a deli offering self service fare such as sandwiches, croissants and gourmet pastries throughout the day and evening, plus made to order salads, and late night snacks from 2100-0100. Complimentary
- Ben &Jerry's Ice Cream Bar offering more than ten different, daily flavours, with prices ranging from $2.50 to $4.75, plus shakes and floats at a small price, Open 0700-2300 daily
- Cafe Latte-Tudes offers speciality coffees for sale, complemented by complimentary snacks and pastries
- Family amenities: An excellent part of the ship’s programme is sessions for children (with a parent accompanying) as young as six months, and while the teen facilities could do with refurbishment, there’s nothing lacking in the enthusiasm or professionalism of the counsellors who work with the kids
- Top accommodation: As one of the older ships in the RCI fleet, Grandeur of the Seas shows her age when it comes to suites – even the biggest: the Royal Suite, is smallish compared to the space offered on newer ships. And note that smaller cabins don’t even have a fridge!
- Entertainment and facilities: Good basic entertainment and facilities that are showing their age a little but still stand the test of time. Some customers complain that if you have a loyalty scheme membership then this ship simply lacks many of the facilities (like Johnny Rockets) for which you receive complimentary or concessionary coupons, thus making the loyalty bonus nearly worthless
- Tipping: The Royal Caribbean recommended rates which you’ll find in your cabin are lower for the older ships, which sometimes seems odd as the crew have to go the extra distance to make up for the age of the facilities. In any case, the tips are prepaid if you opt for My Time dining. There’s a 15% mandatory gratuity on bar tabs.
