The Pacifica's chosen theme is music and this ship is ready to engulf you with its beautiful sounds and accompany you throughout your holiday with its harmonious soundtrack. This theme is amply represented in the ship's decor, with artwork, antique violins to prints of scores, and decks that are named after music styles. Unique to Costa Pacifica is the first-ever recording studio at sea and a "music maestro," who oversees the unusual enrichment opportunity. In this case, passengers can learn how to play piano, guitar and drums during their time onboard. In the state-of-the-art recording studio, which is tucked away in the back of the ship's main theatre, onboard technicians mix the track for you and the final CD is delivered to your cabin. The 29 music tracks that will accompany you throughout your cruise are also available on a double CD you can purchase on the ship as a souvenir to dance, dream and remember the most beautiful times you spent onboard.
The Samsara Spa, which spans over 20,000 square feet, is one of the great draws of the Costa Pacifica. The Asian-inspired facility contains a gymnasium, exercise room - where classes in yoga and aerobics are held - sauna, beauty salon and Turkish baths, as well as a full range of spa treatments. The Samsara specialises in thalassotherapy treatments, which use seawater, marine mud, and other oceanic elements, to help cleanse your mind and body. Elsewhere on the ship, guests can splash in their choice of four pools, two of which feature sliding glass roofs for all-weather swimming.
There are numerous entertainment options onboard the Pacifica, which cater to all ages. The Squok Club fills every day with activities ranging from photography lessons to pool parties, while PlayStation World, in a small room off the casino, offers passengers a chance to play various games in a public setting and on nice evenings, there are even PlayStation events in the Calypso pool area, which has a huge television screen. Also, the ship's 24-hour arcade is an anytime retreat for kids and those who are young-at-heart. For adults, live bands and daytime salsa classes spark a rhythm that continues long into the night, which is the perfect time to visit one of Concordia's 13 bars or cut a rug at the Lisbona Disco.
Dining options onboard include the New York, New York and My Way restaurants, which are clearly a nod to Frank Sinatra, and they serve as the ship's main evening venues. The Club Blue Moon is the ship's gourmet venue and, like others in the Concordia family, is overseen by Ettore Bocchia.
